Job Title: General Manager, Research & Software Development

Location: Jhelum/Punjab, Pakistan

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our Research & Software Development department. In this critical role, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of all research and software development initiatives within the company. You will lead cross-functional teams, foster a culture of innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of cutting-edge software products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the long-term research and development strategy, aligning with the company’s overall business objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Lead and mentor high-performing teams of researchers, engineers, and other technical professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity and experimentation.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry trends, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and product management, to ensure successful product launches.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing research and development teams.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
• Experience with AI/ML technologies, including but not limited to:
  • Machine learning algorithms (e.g., supervised, unsupervised, deep learning)
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Computer Vision
  • AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience with Web development technologies, including:
  • Front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Back-end technologies (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java)
  • Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
